Background and training.

I was born in Pamplona in 1984.

I was drawn to pressing buttons from a very young age. Once I was old enough to understand what I was doing—and after a couple of broken televisions—I decided to study what each button was for.

Unsure whether I preferred picture or sound, I studied both at intermediate and advanced vocational levels at Sonograf in Pamplona. That training helps me understand the work of my colleagues in the camera department. I also completed a placement as a radio technician at Radio Navarra Cope.

After my placement, I moved to Madrid to specialise in sound for film and television, continuing my studies in Audio Engineering at SAE Institute. I began working on feature films as a sound trainee.

By the time I completed my studies, I had already worked on feature films as a sound assistant and second boom operator. With consistent, dedicated work, I continued in sound assistant and boom operator roles. Alongside this, I spent six years at Best Digital, where I took on a wide range of tasks, including recording dubbing sessions for films, documentaries, video games and reality television. I also worked in the media transfer department—the hub linking a studio’s workflows—as a Betacam, HDCAM and HDCAM SR operator. My tasks included audio laybacks, picture editing, preparing deliverables, Dolby E laybacks, digitisation and synchronisation. During the latter part of this period, I also worked at SDI Media in technical quality control, checking—and often correcting—the technical aspects of dubbing for films, documentaries, reality programmes and series.

After gaining experience in both production sound and post-production, I decided to take on projects independently and follow my own path. I invested in high-quality equipment for both fields. Today I record production sound for a wide range of screen productions. In post-production, I specialise in promotional content, particularly for feature films and series, for cinema, online, television, radio, DVD and Blu-ray. I have also worked on documentaries and other formats.
